The Skid Row revitalization project was initiated by the Los Angeles Mission through a street festival exclusively for residents of Skid Row. Esteemed guests including former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis were in attendance. The festival, hosted by the Grammy-nominated artist Main, had captivating performances by Maverick City Music, a Grammy Award-winning recording artist, and Kirk Franklin, a 16-time Grammy winner.

Hilda Solis, the Los Angeles County Supervisor representing Skid Row, presented Pastor Troy Vaughn and Maverick City Music with proclamations from Los Angeles County for their ongoing advocacy work on behalf of the homeless and underrepresented communities.
