Combustion Music congratulates Matthew West on winning Christian Songwriter of the Year at this year’s ASCAP Christian Awards. This is the sixth time West has won the top honor. West also received Song of the Year honors for “Nobody” by Casting Crowns with Matthew West. West and co-writer AJ Pruis were honored for the top-performing song, “The God Who Stays.”
West’s current single, “Truth Be Told,” is climbing the charts to No. 15. West has co-written four other singles on the Christian Charts; “Keep Me In The Moment” by Jeremy Camp (4-week #1) #5, “Start Right Here” – Casting Crowns #18, “Truth I’m Standing On” – Leanna Crawford #20, and “Moving On” – Love and the Result #36.
