The tireless gospel singer Marvin Sapp is up for two 2021 Dove Awards. Her 13th album, Chosen Vessel, is nominated for Traditional Gospel Album of the Year, while the album’s lead single — “Thank You For It All” — received a nod for Song of the Year.
Written by Sapp, along with Aaron Lindsey, Christopher Thomas Leach and Jamone Davis, “Thank You For It All” marked Sapp’s fourth time at No. 1 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart, a trend that began with his seminal “Never Would Have Made It” in 2007. “Thank You For It All” also reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Digital Songs and Gospel National Airplay charts.
“I am grateful to the Gospel Music Association and all persons involved in the nominations at the Dove Awards this year. It’s a blessing to have my music ministry recognized alongside so many great Christian creators,” Sapp said. “We do this because we’re called to, but a little celebration is nice too! Congratulations to all the nominees. I can’t wait for the big night!”
Marvin Sapp is a three-time Dove Award winner.
