According to several residents and traders, the sound level generated by these events regularly exceeds the tolerated limits, resulting in complaints and requests for intervention with the city and the police.

The remarks made by the evangelists, insisting on conversion and mentioning the “burns in hell” for non-believers, arouse local tensions and discomfort. At the heart of the debate, the balance between religious freedom and right to urban tranquility, the city analyzing possible measures to supervise this type of gathering.

Raphaël Boucher, reacted publicly to this controversy in a video published on Tiktok. He says: “What you have just seen is filmed, spontaneous and true miracles … We do it because that’s what we are supposed to do. It is not done to make noise, but out of obedience to the call of God ”.

For him, the objective is to manifest the love and power of God in public, and he rejects the idea of keeping faith only in the private framework:

“We live in a time when even the news will advance the movement of God … I am against the Christian religion to keep it for oneself. You have to go to others. »»

Boucher specifies that the healings and reported testimonies are authentic, according to the group, and that the healed people return with a lasting transformation: “There are people who walked in crutches; We meet them a few days later without crutches, still healed. Here, everything is done in the requirement of honesty and transparency. »»

Finally, he invites the citizens of Montreal to attend public rallies, organized in the early evening before the bay, to “experiment with the presence of God”, in a non -violent and missionary spirit.
