BMI Trailblazers: Spotlighting the Best Gospel Songwriters and Publishers
BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) will honor the best songwriters and publishers in gospel at the 2024 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards. Dorinda Clark-Cole, gospel legend and renowned evangelist, will receive the award’s highest honor event for his exceptional contribution to the genre over more than 50 years. Jonathan McReynolds will be awarded the BMI Champion Award for his remarkable artistry and impact on gospel music, marking a first for this prestigious ceremony.
Hosted by BMI President and CEO Mike O’Neill and BMI Atlanta Vice President of Creative Catherine Brewton, this private event will highlight special guest performances, celebrating songwriters and publishers of the 25 most popular gospel songs in the UNITED STATES. The ceremony will also honor BMI’s Gospel Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Publisher of the Year, with artists such as Yolanda AdamsJor’Dan Armstrong, Elijah Blake, Isaac Carree, Erica CampbellDOE, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Zacardi Cortez, Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, Charles Jenkins, Le’Andria Johnson, Donald Lawrence, Tamela and David.
