StowTown Records is delighted to announce the release of a brand new recording from multi-award winning band The Perrys. John 3:16 showcases this popular band at their best, delivering powerful songs that have made them a mainstay of the Southern genre Gospel Music for more than four decades.
This latest recording features 10 songs with masterful production, powerful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics from many of the music’s most prolific writers. gospel music, including Joel Lindsey, Wayne Haun, Joseph Habedank and Marcia Henry, to name a few. In addition to the title cut and lead single, “John 3:16 Is Calling Out to You”, co-written by Joel Lindsey and Val Dacus, other cuts include “I Think I’ll Just Go On”, “Heaven To Me” and the timeless classic, “That Sounds Like Home To Me,” written by legendary writers Eddie Crook and Aaron Wilburn. For The Perrys, the song that will be particularly meaningful is “Calvary’s Touch,” which was written by Karen McPherson and the late Kyla Rowland. Just before Kyla passed away earlier this year, she gave this song to The Perrys for this album, and it could very well be the last new recording of a Kyla Rowland song.
Led by longtime band member Libbi Perry Stuffle, The Perrys have received numerous honors and accolades, as well as dozens of radio hits. “It’s been amazing to see how God has worked in the lives of Libbi and the Perrys over the years,” says Landon Beene, president of StowTown Records. “They endured very difficult times, but God honored their faithfulness and their desire to always present the message of the Gospel. StowTown is thrilled to have the privilege of bringing this project to listeners around the world.
John 3:16 offers listeners victory, encouragement, and redemption, along with the undeniable message of Christ’s saving power. “John 3:16 is probably the most famous scripture in the world,” says Libbi. “We have never been ashamed to proclaim this message every time we take the stage. It has no age and we will never tire of sharing it.
For Libbi and The Perrys, it was a pleasure to be back in the studio with producer and longtime friend of the band, Wayne Haun. It was also exciting to have the opportunity to record songs from several writers who had a profound impact on their musical journey. “With all the changes we’ve experienced over the past few years, we’re really lucky to be able to look back and find consistency,” Libbi shares. “Wayne is a long-time friend and producer and always pushes us to do our best in the studio. He’s also great at helping us find the right songs. We were fortunate to be able to include songs written by some very special friends who gave us the opportunity to convey the eternal message that God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone would believe in him do not perish but have eternal life. the life. »
