Renaming the Bible, Bibliotheca, the typographer Adam Lewis Greene has just launched a new project: the crowdfunding of a Bible modernized. For this, he chose to use the Kickstarter platform. And, since its launch, the project has met with significant success, with already no less than 560 dollars collected and 000 pre-sold copies.
This Bible new version promises to present itself in support of a nice typography. The division into chapters will disappear and theFormer and New Testament will be merged into a whole that will be organized into four separate volumes, reports The Independent.
In the eyes of the bearer of this project, it will be a question of better bringing out the literary characteristics of the biblical text. The stated goal is to give people back the desire to read this book which is summoned a lot but much more rarely read, appearing to many readers like a heavy and arduous text.
Designer and illustrator in Santa Cruz, California, Adam Lewis Greene says that for 70 dollars deposited via Kickstarter, the donor will receive the four volumes in a beautiful binding.
