There is a universal law called the principle of sowing and harvesting. If I sow criticism, I will reap criticism. If I sow generously, I will be rewarded and reap in abundance.
Any farmer knows this. If he has four sacks of seed in his barn and looks at his bare field, he doesn't complain: “There is no harvest! If only this field produced! No, he comes out and starts sowing. When you have a need, plant a seed!
It seems illogical that I should give when I have a need. This is where faith comes in. “My ways are not your ways” says God.
Why did God want it so? Because he is a God who gives. He is the most generous being in the whole universe and he wants you to learn how to be like him. He wants to train your character.
