Gospel icon Kirk Franklin leading performances on BNC
Black News Channel partners with RCA Inspiration for live gospel performances by top artists, celebrating faith and culture throughout October 4-7.
In an effort to inspire and unite audiences, the Black News Channel (BNC) is focusing on African American viewers by showcasing celebrated gospel music through a special series. This initiative seeks to highlight the profound influence of gospel music on American culture and history. By engaging a diverse audience, BNC aims to honor the legacy of gospel while bringing light to the artistic expressions that have emerged from the community. This endeavor marks a pivotal moment for the network, as it continues to shed light on uplifting content that resonates deeply with viewers.
Scheduled from October 4 to 7, this unique event features a lineup of award-winning gospel artists, culminating in performances that capture the essence of faith and family. Each morning on the program “Start Your Day with Sharon and Mike,” gospel music legends will take center stage at the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville. Kickstarted by Jonathan McReynolds and DOE on October 4, leading to a grand finale performance by Kirk Franklin on October 7, this concert series promises memorable moments through exclusive interviews and vibrant live performances. As the artists come together, the event becomes not just a celebration of music, but a tribute to the communal ties of the African American experience, with the last major artistic contribution from these artists having substantially resonated through their impactful works in the gospel genre.
