KELONTAE GAVIN DOESN’T ALLOW ‘ORDINARY WORSHIP’ AT 34TH STELLAR AWARDS | @kelontae_g @TheStellars

ATLANTA, GA (Tuesday, March 12, 2019) – Announced today by 19-year-old singer-songwriter, social media phenomenon and four-time Stellar Award nominee Central City Productions, Kelontae Gavin is ready to play on the 34th Stellar Awards presented by AT&T and hosted by Kirk Franklin. The live show will be taped in front of a live audience at Las Vegas’s Orleans Arena on Friday, March 29, 2019. It will air on Friday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. PDT and 10:00 p.m. ET and 9:00 p.m. PDT. BET Networks after a 15-year hiatus.


A native of Ridgeville, South Carolina, who has been nominated four times for Male Singer of the Year, Contemporary Singer of the Yearthere Contemporary CD of the YearAnd Praise and Worship CD of the Year, will perform his Billboard Top 5 hit “No ordinary worship. “

Racking up over 13 million streams to date, “Ordinary Worship” has spent 53 weeks on Billboard’s Official Gospel Airplay Top 30. The song reached the Top 5 on three Billboard charts: #4 on Hot evangelical songs (3.2.2019), No. 5 of Airplay Gospel (2.16.2019), and #5 on Gospel Digital Song Sales (6.30.2018). In April 2018, Kelontae released his first live album, 11 tracks. The Superior Experience (MBE / Tyscot Records), which was produced by hitmakers Marquis Boone And Tedy P. The project debuted at #2 on Billboard Top Gospel Albums and press #1 on the Gospel Albums chart months later. Gavin and the project also charted on three popular Billboard charts: #4 on the Next map Big Sound (6.30.2018), no. 11 on Best Independent Albums (5.12.2018), and No. 94 on Albums charts (5.12.2018).

About Kelontae Gavin:

Kelontae Gavin’s success has humble beginnings. He became a viral sensation in 2014 after being recorded singing “I’m Not Complaining” by Rev. Paul Jones by a lunch lady in his school cafeteria in Summerville, South Carolina. Since then, Gavin has made a name for himself in the music industry. He signed a record deal with record producer and producer Marquis Boone and his company MBE, in partnership with Tyscot Records, in 2016. Gavin’s single release, “Higher,” reached the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales chart that same year, earning him his first Stellar Award nomination for Youth Project of the Year in 2018. Gavin then released his first 11-track live album The Superior Experience and reached No. 1 on the Gospel Albums chart. His single “No Ordinary Worship” spent 53 weeks on Gospel radio and charted in the top 5 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs (No. 4), Gospel Airplay (No. 5) and Gospel Digital Song.
