The single is featured on Nichole’s first self-titled EP and marks Big Daddy Weave’s second consecutive and eleventh No. 1 song.
Created following Nichole’s story about the physical suffering of scoliosis, resulting depression, hope and eventual recovery, and following the death of founding Big Daddy Weave member Jay Weaver earlier this year , “God is in this story” and its compelling concept video becomes a resounding statement for both artists.
Co-write the song with Grammy® nominated songwriters Ethan Hulse And Jeff Pardo, Nichole says, “There is no story that doesn’t matter to God. Every story was written by Him, and He is the greatest author of all time. If you truly believe with all your heart that God is good, even in the tough times of life, then you will see how He was in your story all the time. People can see God through us when we tell our stories, and that’s how they will know how faithful Jesus truly is. It’s truly amazing how something I once considered my story became our story.
Mike Weaver of Big Daddy Weave shares, “We are so grateful for how this song was received, and equally grateful for how it spoke to us during one of the most difficult times of our lives. God used it to remind us that He is with us through pain and how precious that is.
Nichole is currently on tour with Jeremy Camp before joining Matthew West next month for a series of events. The 2022 Dove Award-nominated artist then ends her year on the K-LOVE Christmas Tour.
Big Daddy Weave is headlining his Only The Beginning Tour this fall with guest artists Austin French And Hannah Kerr and are in preparation for their spring 2023 tour.
