April 5, 2022 (West Palm Beach, FL) – Juan Winans reaches the top of the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart, with “Never on My Own,” entering this week at No. 1. This is Winans’ second consecutive No. 1 song , previously reached No. 1 with her debut single, “It Belongs To Me,” last year.
“Juan is a songwriter and an incredibly gifted conceptual artist. Much more to come! Watch this place! said Michael-Anthony “Mooki” Taylor, CEO and President of DARE Records.
Winans, who was elated upon hearing the news, said: “For the first two songs on my first solo album, number 1 is incredible! » “Ultimately, this is a testament to my incredible team at Dare Records! They believe so much in the work that I do and, as an artist, there is no better feeling. I share this with my sister Deborah Joy Winans, which is amazing. I specifically wanted to do “Never On My Own” with her because we’ve always supported each other. We keep it in the family! Thank you to all radio stations and program directors across the country for this support. I am deeply grateful.
Winans is gearing up for the release of his first full-length solo album due out later this year on DARE Records and the debut of a powerful new song titled “Now.” Tapping into the urgent need for change in our country, “NOW” is a compelling statement to the culture, reminding us of the power and importance of making our voices heard through voting. Throughout the song, listeners can hear the powerful voice of leader and champion of voting rights, the late Congressman John Lewis.
Last week, the Grammy nominee was honored at the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards 2022 for his success with “It Belongs To Me”. Winans also performed “NOW” at the annual “Influencers Brunch” last week in Los Angeles during “Influencers Brunch,” a pre-Oscars party hosted by Anthony Anderson and Chris Spencer.
