Africa’s first choral group, Celebration has released the live show “Thank You Lord”.
The single marks the African giants venturing to introduce themselves to the world after singing on Universal Music Africa, backed by the famous American record label Motown Gospel.
On Thursday, March 18, 2021, the choir announced the monumental signing that coincided with the silver jubilee release of their 25th album, Still We Rise.
“Thank You Lord” is a single from the album that came out of the choral group adapting to the new normal.
Co-founder and original conductor, Lindelani Mkhize at the time of the announcement shared that, “After all the experiences of the last 25 years and the changes in the world and the new dynamics in the industry,
We are excited to be in this new direction with a new purpose. We are rekindled, we have new energy as we turn things around to take it to the next extraordinary level.”
“Thank You Lord” marks the first single the choir will have been sampled by countries such as the UNITED STATES and Canada, as Joyous Celebration makes its way internationally.
