Joshua Rogers Scores His First Gospel Airplay No. 1 With “Still Gon’ Trust”

Joshua Rogers’ “Still Gon’ Trust” rises to No. 1 on Billboard’s chart dated June 4. During the tracking week ending May 29, the single increased 6% in plays, according to Luminate.

The song, co-written by Percy Bady and Lucius Hoskins, marks the first poll leader for Rogers, 28, a native of Greeleyville, S.C. Rogers first came to prominence as the 2012 winner of the BET talent show Sunday Best.

Rogers counted the first of his five entries with “So Good”, which peaked at No. 19 in December 2013. “Pour Your Oil” reached No. 4 in March 2019, followed by “I Need You” (No. 16, March 2020) and “Back” (No. 30, March 2021).

Rogers’ debut album, Well Done, debuted at No. 1 on Top Gospel Albums in December 2012. Unconditional opened and peaked at No. 2 in November 2013 and Returning landed at its best No. 14 in October 2018.
