Jonathan Laurince a Christian artist who stands out
Jonathan Laurince is an inspired singer and talented trumpeter who writes, composes, arranges and records his own compositions.
Jonathan Laurince got his start in music in a church in Haiti and then joined the École Sainte-Trinité, known as one of the best music schools in the country.
In the year 2000, he represented his country in an international trumpet competition organized by the ITC. Shortly after, he founded a group evangelical and a Jazz quintet with the aim of producing his immense repertoire of music.
In 2008, on the occasion of the inauguration of the first black president of UNITED STATEShe published his first video entitled: “Change Yes We Can“. This video clip was broadcast on BET, MTV and local television channels.
In 2005, he received at the HCMA the prize for “Best Christian Vocalist” for his first album entitled “Thank You Lord“.
In 2012, after the earthquake that devastated his native country, Jonathan released his second single titled “I Know Haiti Will Rise Again”. This song captured the attention of the American press and earned him interviews with BET, NBC6 and a show with the well-known company and magazine called Black Enterprize. That same year, his band “The True Worshipers” was nominated for Best Christian Band in South Florida by the IRAWMA, which is a Jamaican organization. He also received a proclamation from the Mayor of North Miami Beach, naming October 27, 2012: “Jonathan Laurince’s Day”
Also in 2012, he published his fourth title project “Gras Pou Haiti” having as his first hit, his new version of the national anthem of Haiti “The Dessalinian“.
Between 2014 and 2015, he released his first instrumental project called “The Trumpet Sound Vol.1.” and released two songs and music videos: one called “Now The Time Has Come” and the other “I Will Bless The Lord“.
Indeed, ”Now The Time Has Come” is music that invites every human being to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth and to praise this wonderful God.
I Will Bless The Lordby its title already indicates a hymn of praise…
Motivated by the desire to promote his art, Jonathan Laurince then registered as an artist with the organization The Akademia Music Awards located in Los Angeles, California. The latter is dedicated to recognizing excellence in music worldwide and supporting interested musicians to receive a higher degree of market exposure and professional recognition for their work.
Good news ! the 2 musics of Jonathan Laurince found themselves in nomination. And, on April 21, 2016, the Haitian Christian artist received the following three distinctive awards:
- BEST GOSPEL SONG and BEST CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN / GOSPEL MUSIC VIDEO for music NOW THE TIME HAS COME
- BEST CHRISTIAN GOSPEL MUSIC for the song I WILL BLESS THE LORD.
- BEST CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN / GOSPEL MUSIC VIDEO
