Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee and Journey member of a group Jonathan Cain will be live streaming its “Wonder Of Wonders Christmas Concert” from City of Destiny December 22nd starting at 7pm ET. Hosted by Cain and his wife, the Senior Pastor of City Of Destiny Paula White-Cainthe free and public event will feature a special guest Brianna Alomardrummer Tommy Cain and guitarist Keven Eknes with a full choir and a string quartet.
Taking people on an adventure through the Nativity during the concert, Cain will conduct his Top 5 Christmas radio hits “Wonder of wonders“, which was released in 2019 and features GRAMMY-nominated and platinum-selling Newsboys lead singer Michael Tait. The event will further highlight original songs like “Unknown Christmas“, the title song of Cain’s Billboard-first album, DVD, vinyl recording and companion, entirety Amazon Prime Video“None but you Jesus” which is of Cain acclaimed Oh Lord, lead us EP released worldwide last month, and a new song written for this event, “Behold”.
“How many ‘voice’ songs are there? Nothing!” Cain exclaims. “I always like to write what hasn’t been written, and it’s so important to be fresh in the Word. To see means to look, to see, to notice, to recognize. When I went looking for the etymology of the word, it was profound.”
The upcoming Christmas concert will also highlight classics like “Angels We Have Heard On High,” “Oh Holy Night” and “Do You Hear What I Hear.”
Cain’s current EP Oh Lord Lead Us is a beautifully crafted musical invitation to prayer, renewal, and commitment that continues this iconic artist’s offerings of new, faith-inspired music. Produced by Cain, mixed by David Kalmusky (Justin Bieber, The Fray, Keith Urban), mastered by GRAMMY Award Adam Ayan (Paul McCartney, Carrie Underwood, Foo Fighters), the EP was recorded at Cain’s cutting-edge technology Addiction Sound Studios in Nashville with selected pieces performed remotely. Featuring Cain’s biggest solo hit to date, the ABC audio, The 700 Club, Worship leader And Ultimate Classic Rock– Featured title songand the American singer-songwriter-created «Beautiful Thunder“, the EP precedes Cain’s upcoming, sixth solo album in as many years (release date TBA).
Recently playing golf with legendary coach, Lou Holtzand presented during Troy and Tracey Duhon Give hopegala in New Orleans, Cain will also share his personal story of faith along with new music this month in the premiere episode of Pure Flix’s show, “Rockin’ on Heaven’s Gate» which stars Cain «Oh Lord, lead us” as the theme song.
With more solo music to come, Cain is also joining his band Journey for their 40-date “Freedom Tour 2022” kicking off February 22 in Pittsburgh and featuring Billy Idol on the first leg of the tour with Toto taking over starting April 7 in San Diego, California.
Releasing five solo albums in recent years, including his 2019, Billboard-Featured More like Jesus this Parade calls it a “triumphant new album,” the solo recordings follow a long line of hits that bear the artist’s signature. As a member of Journey, Cain wrote or co-wrote massive radio hits like the best-selling catalog rock song in iTunes history, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” and “Who’s Crying Now,” “Open Arms,” ”Faithfully” and much more.
