Distribution of New Testaments at the Paris 2024 Games
In 2024, France will be at the heart of global attention with the organization of the Paris Olympic Games. Several Christian sports movements have seized this opportunity to collaborate with the French Bible Alliance (ABF) to create and distribute a special edition of the New Testament This unique edition will include inspiring testimonies from athletes such as French handball champion Joël Abati and American sprinter Allyson Felix. The goal is to distribute 140,000 copies in French and 60,000 in English free of charge on the ground, thanks to the concerted efforts of the associations and churches present.

An Emblematic Project of Faith and Hope
The initiative aims to give visibility to the christian faith at a global event, while offering a new perspective on the sporting experience. By associating the Paris Games with the diffusion of the New Testaments, the French Bible Alliance hopes to reach millions of people with a message of faith and hope. Funding for the project, initially estimated at €200,000, is largely based on public generosity, with €45,000 already raised. As demand is greater than expected, publication figures have been increased.
Inspiring Testimony and Christian Commitment
Patrick, who attended the 1972 Munich Games, remembers being deeply touched by the faith expressed by young Christians during that tragic time. He says, “among the millions of people who will come to the Paris Games, everyone has their own story, their own fears, their own questions. It may well be that New Testament answers some of them.” Thus, the French Bible Alliance hopes that this project will allow many people to find enlightening answers and feel a message of hope.
