The winner of several awards, Jekalyn Carrtook the stage last Friday at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, wowing the crowd with custom couture as she co-hosted the 36th annual Stellar Awards.
Carr, who stunned audiences with five custom looks styled by celebrity stylist J. Bolin, is the youngest host in the history of the Stellar Awards. She won two trophies, adding to her growing collection, for Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year and Traditional Album of the Year for Change Your Story.
The two victories in Stellar Awards follow Carr’s recent induction into the Women’s Songwriters Hall of Fame and her fifth No. 1 single on Billboard. The song “Jehovah Jireh” continues to top the charts and is No. 1 on Billboard Gospel Airplay and No. 3 on the Mediabase Gospel Chart.
