Jean Jean Music – Jean Jean de Montréal

Share

Jean Jean is a young man born into a family with principles . He is the only boy in a family of four children. At his birth, which was somewhat difficult, his mother made a promise to his God that this child would be at his service for the life he had been given. From that moment on, he could no longer live like ordinary mortals. Very quickly, he developed a love for music. At first, this love was not reciprocated.

Jean Jean had a normal youth, like any other young person, he was part of a sports team, but nothing could take away his love for music. In his adolescence, he got used to listening to music every now and then. Music really took a big place in his daily life when it was announced to the young people of his church that a choir would be formed. He wanted to join the team, but he had to make a choice, because the practices and rehearsals were held on the same day.

The choice was not easy, because he had great possibilities of becoming a handball player of caliber , but his desire to quench his thirst for music led him to leave the Montreal Celtics team to join the Outremont Youth Choir. From then on, he demonstrated natural singing skills. With a lot of supervision from his vocal director at the time, Marc-Élie Morisset, he discovered other aspects of music that were totally unknown to him. Mixed with his passion for music, he developed a relationship with Jesus Christ which led him to spend a lot of time in fasting and prayer, there again he was fond of another passion, knowing God.

His thirst to understand what was happening around him pushed him, he surrounded himself with spiritual people who allowed him to deepen his relationship with God. It was then that he learned to mix his two passions, singing and prayer to edify. First, in times of prayer and youth, then being called to do so in the large assembly. At the age of 20, he began to strongly feel a calling on his life and under the tutelage of his pastor, Rev. Georges M. Morrisset, he became a companion in the pastoral ministry. Through this ministry, he was able to identify and recognize the gift that God placed in him.

Serving the for several years, with the group Promesse, Jean Jean has started a new adventure with the members of his team of 4 musicians and 8 backing singers. He considers that there are no limits to the Lord’s abilities so he lets himself be guided. Making sure he is in the will of the Lord, he takes flight to that destination, he makes that new beginning, and he takes you with him.
