ITIYA As In Ayiti, Amos Caesar

A great first! A theologian who is going to do a “Stand up”, a “One man show” in Haiti. His name is Amos Caesar. He was at the Petit Conservatoire, led by Daniel Marcelin, for three years. He is co-host, with Meyer Louibert, of Agora 7-10 on Alléoia FM. On Sunday August 11, 2019, in Le Villate, this Christian promises to amaze us. Sorry, for making us laugh, through Itiya. Ayiti in reverse!

Amos Caesar in his Interrogation for Itiya

He is modest like a model Christian. He preaches, teaches at church, works in Christian ministry with the International Bible League. He is also the one who brilliantly followed, from 2002 to 2005, the theater classes at the Petit Conservatoire, the legendary theater school of the legendary Daniel Marcelin. He was also the one who lent his voice to the biggest radio hits, namely the serials of the famous Haitian writer, Gary Victor. He played various roles in the successful show, “Haïti terre de feu”, by Yôle Desrose. He is also the one behind various successful plays in the largest theater festival in Haiti, “Quatre chemins”. But he is also the designer, the author and the voice behind “Ton Frits”, which validly marked the mornings of 98.9 FM Stéréo, Alléuia Fm, in 2018. His name is Amos César. He will try to tell us how long Ayiti has been living, functioning, walking, going backwards… backwards. Itiya is for Sunday August 11, at Le Villate, in Pétion-Ville.

He doesn’t look like a comedian, and yet…

He’s not in charge of the job. But Amos Caesar is the example which confirms that the wise head does not make the monk. He is rather virulent, unreserved, unbridled… when it comes to denouncing these “politicians” who are holding Haiti’s transition to well-being hostage. He is also without reserve when he denounces, through laughter, our faults, our excesses, our follies of being the peak of the mirandola…

Amos Caesar is also the Christian who is not afraid to denounce pseudonyms who make the gospel their flourishing business. Above all, he does not forget the , self-proclaimed, who abuse the ignorance of some to gain their advantages. Fruitful benefits…

It’s true, at first glance, he doesn’t have the appearance of a comedian. But he is. In truth. “Ton Frits”, his most recent work confirms this. Laughing, perhaps he cannot correct our morals, because we are more stubborn than the sun, but he tries to do so. And very good! Besides, he didn’t get into acting by chance. He is a professional in the field. He has accumulated a wealth of experience which today guarantees him indisputable know-how. After studying Social Communication at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the State University of Haiti, he also studied theology at STEP. Today he is a professional in theater, communication and the gospel of Christ. An explosive cocktail that he does not intend to contain in a small glass.

An unconventional Christian

He laughs heartily when we attribute healthy intentions to him for Itiya. He says he is a modest Christian when he is in church. But he doesn’t do half-measures when he has to be the comedian who has to say everything, in the right language, the things that make you laugh and therefore denounce our faults. His presence on the comedy scene is intended to be useful, he explains. He is also the frustrated Haitian who is struggling with his country’s descent into hell. The inability or unwillingness of politicians to do their job. He is like many Haitian citizens, the one who notes, helplessly, the appearance on the political scene of incapable elements, driven by bad faiths who have transformed the country into hell. Through the “Stand up” scheduled for Sunday, August 11, at Le Villate Amos César wants to press with his ten fingers, wounds, questions, concerns which cannot leave indifferent, the most disinterested Haitian in the affairs of the Republic.

Itiya’s big question

Itiya will start with a relevant question: “since when did we lose our minds?” This backward march which gives everyone the super power to do everything, even without the required qualifications, will be at the heart of the Christian comedian’s “One man show”. Amos César announces Itiya as a mirror which will reflect this image of deceiver and unqualified Haitian politician; of the pastor and pseudo-Christian who reinvents the gospel and of the ordinary Haitian who believes he has the solutions to everything. Even to the “incurable” ills of Haiti.

Itiya is written and designed by Amos César. It will also be the event marking the two years of Alleluia FM’s magazine, Agora. This show is a production by the now Haitian female comedian of the moment, Gaëlle Bien-Aimé and everything is concocted under the watchful eye of the confirmed, Daniel Marcelin. We are already predicting a success with precedent for this show, as it is almost every time for Concept Event Master (CEM) events. Since when have we been leading this country in reverse? Possible answer, this Sunday August 11, in Itiya, with Amos César.
