It’s all about hope for humanity as this new theme song drops to the world this summer. International Spiritual Soul artist and radio host, Hope Sheree released the concept music video for “Have Hope 2.0” on Friday, July 9th with a virtual reveal.
A few weeks after the video was released, Hope Sheree had the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC to provide a moment of motivation at a secular event to inspire a wave of hope. The legendary event was at the cultural hub, Ben’s Chili Bowl! In attendance were Mayor Muriel Bowser, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes, Cora Masters Barry, of course, Virginia Ali, the owner of the popular restaurant chain. There were also Go-Go kings DJ Cool, EU’s Sugar Bear, and more! Speaking about the event, Hope says, “Here I am singing Have Hope 2.0 in a crowd of legends and gracious Congresswomen! To see people dancing in the crowded streets and to see homeless people come up and say thank you… it was everything!” The event was run by the nonprofit; Pep Rally for Peace in the Streets founder Gary Clark, Sr., who feels the song is sorely needed during this time.
This A Dose of Hope radio theme song is exclusively available on A Dose of Hope .org, as 50% of the proceeds will go towards creating acts of kindness around the world. A Go Fund Me has also been set up to support the cause. A cause where kindness creates a ripple effect of HOPE!
The video was recorded in Hampton Roads, VA by Footage by Fame and features many current topics. From financial issues to police brutality to homeless veterans; it shows some of what we are dealing with as a world. It INSISTS that in the midst of all the negativity, we must continue to have hope that our world can and will get better! The song was written by Hope Sheree, while Charlottes’ Michael Shaw played acoustic guitar. It was produced, mixed and mastered in Rocky Mount, NC by Ray Braswell Jr. / RayMarkable Studios for ADOH Marketing, LLC. A future release is planned as part of a licensing project with the JF Kelly Collection – Volume One.
