Holy Music Haiti: Two (2) Musicians Face a Fearsome Virus

Holy Music Haiti faces a crucial dilemma: integrity or double life?

Holy Music Haiti, one of the best Haitian evangelical bands of the moment, is going through a tumultuous period. This band, often at the center of Christian news and evangelical information, has recently been affected by what could be called a virus ravaging the Haitian evangelical music community. Among some Christian musicians, this virus is characterized by problematic behavior that leads to a double life by behaving differently in the presence or absence of Christians. This phenomenon raises questions about the coherence and of Christian.

Behavior of the musicians in question

On August 18, a photo circulated on social media showing the guitarist and bassist of Holy Music Haiti with non-Christian musicians. This information was confirmed by a leader of the group, who stressed that the committee had not been aware of this situation for too long and that it is against the rules of the group. The guitarist has been a member of the group for nine years, while the bassist joined Holy Music to replace the main bassist and became a full member. This situation sent shockwaves through the Christian news and evangelical information community.

Group reaction and measures

Holy Music Haiti management responded quickly. In a short live interview on the Double Impact show on Régi Média and in a conversation with BGospel Magazine, they confirmed that the group would do everything in its power to save its The group is aware of its slogan The anointing makes the difference and wishes to respect it.

A second tip-off revealed that a musician in the band, who also plays with a secular artist, wears earrings and braids his hair in the company of non-Christians, but removes these accessories when he is with Holy Music. Faced with these revelations, the management called on the community to pray for the band.

Request for support and future of the group

Holy Music Haiti, which won the award for best group in 2022 and 2023, is currently the most active group in the Haitian evangelical field, present in almost all large-scale events. The management asks the community to pray for the group. Indeed, the musicians are continually coveted by secular artists and groups, which exposes them to many temptations.

Let us recall that since the beginning of the year, the group has been touring churches to promote their album Kris Avèm. The management also confirmed that other musicians are being trained to replace those who will not comply with the group’s requirements.

In such a context, a choice is necessary for Holy Music Haiti: remain faithful to its Christian values or risk compromising itself. According to a As reported by host Blaise Lius on the Double Impact show, to stay alive in the HMI (Haitian Music Industry), one sometimes has to make pacts with unclean spirits. The management of Holy Music Haiti, however, remains determined to safeguard its and to remain faithful to his convictions.
