A tragic morning for Jean Elie Brutus
On Friday February 16, 2024, a morning like so many others was suddenly overshadowed by a tragic road accident that occurred on the Delmas road, at the Delmas 60 intersection, involving the singer Haitian Evangelical Jean Elie Brutus. The artist was on board a public transport van which violently collided with a heavy goods vehicle following a brake system failure. This accident caused serious injuries to several passengers, including Mr. Brutus who suffered abdominal trauma and multiple fractures to the pelvis.
Initially admitted to the Bernard Mevs hospital, Jean Elie Brutus was then transferred to the Médecins sans Frontière hospital in Tabarre for specialized treatment. Although his state of health is considered stable, the information communicated by his friend, the Maestro Joseph Pierre, reveals that the singer is experiencing severe pain. The decision on the need for surgical intervention was still pending recently, at the end of the afternoon, according to the medical body.
News of the accident sparked a wave of support within the Haitian evangelical community. Jean Elie Brutus is very involved in several artistic ministries.
His peers and fans find themselves united today in prayer and hope for a speedy recovery for one of their prominent members.
