Cius Alexandra was born into a modest Christian family on September 18, 1994 in Cape Haitian. She is the fifth in a family of 8 children. Her mother Helene Jeanith and her father Alexis Cius ardently wanted a girl. Her mother prayed, begged and promised God to put her in his service if he would give her one. This is how Alexandra Cius was born.
From her childhood, she proved her dynamism, her intelligence and her will at the Club and on the children’s program of the Tabernacle of Praise Church (AET). She went through many trials, suffered financial and moral disappointments. Despite everything, music was his greatest weakness. She started at the age of five in a small choir where she took her first steps, then had a children’s program broadcast on Tabernacle FM.
She amazed her listeners so much that her pastor asked her to lead worship services in her tenth year. Currently, she is a member of the Harmonie Voice du Cap-Haitien Choir of which she is the main founder; children’s leader and secretary of his church’s youth association.
She tells us:
“Singing is my only way to let off steam. I sing at any time of the day or night, no matter the circumstance… I just have to want to, but so much so that it often exasperated my father.
Any disappointments? Yes, I have known many. God always keeps his promises, I believe in him because nothing is impossible for him, He is the God of the impossible. Making me an international psalmist is one of his promises to me… out of the dust he takes the poor, out of the dunghills he raises up the needy to seat them with the great, with the great of his people.”
