25 Year Plan: Pastor Grégory Toussaint’s Initiative for Haiti

The Bishop Gregory Toussaintduring a question-and-answer session at the church led by the pastor Mohammed Sanogoaddressed the current situation in Haiti with a tone full of faith and determination. A young sister asked the bishop a question, pointing out that since after InHaiti in 2018things had seriously degenerated in the country. She asked what the message from God that he had received on this subject.

In his response, the bishop shared his vision of a long-term development for Haiti, emphasizing the importance of spiritual reform. According to him, despite the darkness, the light will come, and the country is in the middle of a phase ofspiritual awakening. He noted that the number of evangelical Christians grew from 38,000 in 1930 to more than six million today. This spiritual evolutionaccording to Toussaint, is the first step towards reform and a change in mentalities.

The bishop also briefly mentioned the march Souf pou Ayiti in 2023, without specifying its impact or its importance within the framework of its plan Haiti 2050.

A long-term vision for Haiti: the 2050 project

Grégory Toussaint’s vision for Haiti is based on a development plan on 25 years oldcalled Haiti 2050. This plan will be launched in December 2025 and aims to bring together a million Haitians for a time of prayer and worship. This initiative is inspired by similar projects such as Rwanda Vision 2020which was marked by long-term goals for the progress of the country.

The bishop insists on the importance of this approach to move away from a dynamic of constant reaction to crises, by directing the country towards a sustainable prospective. With this ambitious project, Grégory Toussaint hopes to mobilize not only believers, but also all those who wish to see Haiti embark on a path of prosperity and peace.

This plan is designed to be regularly assessed every five yearsin order to adjust strategies based on progress made. The objective is to inspire a proactive approach and lasting positive change for Haiti.
