On May 26, 2023, elections for the renewal of the executive committee of the Protestant Federation of Haiti will be held at the Karibe Convention Center. The administration of Pastor Calixte Fleuridor, which succeeded that of Pastor Sylvain Exantus in 2019, is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of an electoral process particularly exposed to press spotlight.
This year, the electoral race will not come down to the seduction of the leaders of the MEOLs (Church Missions Organizations Leagues) to guarantee the votes of their representatives. It will also be a question of winning the heart of public opinion.
🔴 The New Executive Committee of the FPH Invested and Installed
The presidential candidates will not be the only ones to invest in this race, even if they are the most likely to attract attention and comments. Twenty-two (22) other actors, distributed between three cartels for 9 other elective positions (10 with that of the president), are in the running to complete the new team called to take over head of the FPH until 2027.
The Protestant Federation of Haiti is administered by a committee of ten (10) members elected for a period of four (4) years. The next elections should therefore result in the establishment of 10 positions, with the probability of seeing personalities reappointed to their functions or others accessing new positions within the institution.
These last elections allowed the emergence of a new political figure in the person of the Dr Julio Volcyfounding pastor of churches Appointment Christ, presidential candidate. In front of him, two people who know FPH much better than him, at least by experience. This is the Dr Vijonet Deméroformer member of the FPH and also a former presidential candidate in the last elections, and the Pastor Calixte Fleuridorcurrently president of the institution.

Between a current president candidate for his own re-election, a veteran of the house with his experience within the institution and his knowledge of the environment and finally an emerging leader symbol of new breathing for a federation in search of identity is the new leader of the Protestant Federation of Haiti.
Nine of the 22 candidates will also take office and will have to work to land this president’s leadership for the next four years. The challenges are numerous and significant, but meeting them will inevitably require the achievement of a credible, reliable and fair electoral process.
Do the candidates mentioned have faith in the apparatus put in place for the organization of these elections? This will be the subject of a new investigation.
