In an exclusive interview with BGospel Magazine, prophet Kenny Dorvilus clarified several points regarding his indefinite retirement, his discreet marriage, and the future of his ministry, DK Ministries. This article aims to answer lingering questions and clarify certain points for our readers.
Prophet Kenny Dorvilus began the year 2024 with strong visibility following various enriching activities, such as the publication of his book Cave of Adullam and the organization of Prophetic Sunday and Omega Night events. His powerful messages shared on social media have left a mark with their simplicity and the clarity of the biblical truths they convey. In February 2024, he announced a tour in New York in April, followed by a trip to Canada, thereby consolidating his role as a young diplomat representing Haiti. During this time, he continued to actively preach the Gospel.
To the surprise of many, at the end of July, a message was posted on his Facebook page announcing the start of an indefinite retirement.
Unexpected announcement and details of the indefinite retirement
When questioned about this announcement, Prophet Kenny explained that God had asked him to take a retirement without specifying the duration. By the end of July 2024, he had mentally and physically prepared to follow this divine order, including a 40-day fast that began on August 1, 2024, similar to Daniel’s fast. Despite a busy schedule, he was aware since January 2024 that he needed to make a significant sacrifice, based on the advice of a sister in Christ. In June, African prophet Héritier Grâce Museba reminded him of the importance of starting this fast in August. Initially, Kenny fasted with water, before adding vegetables every 24 hours, until God instructed him to fast on water only.
This fast allowed Kenny to spiritually recharge after facing various spiritual powers during his tour.
Revival of his ministry and message of awakening
After successfully completing his 40 days of fasting, Kenny spent September resting and preparing for the next phase of his ministry. In October, he announced that DK Ministries, now based in the United States, would launch 90 days of prayer and training with his team to prepare for God’s work. He clarified that in Haiti, he does not have a local church.
New unexpected announcement – the prophet’s marriage
On December 15, 2024, Kenny announced his marriage. The details of his relationship and engagement remain private, causing frustration and speculation on social media. Kenny refuted the criticisms, labeling them as detractors seeking to tarnish his image. He stated that his marriage, celebrated privately, was not intended to obtain U.S. residency but was a union blessed by God. He reminded that he had announced his intention to marry as early as December 2023.
Among the guests at the ceremony were personalities such as economist Etzer Émile, pastors Johnson César, Elou Fleurine, Kervin Dieudonné, and Jules Dessin, as well as artist Deborah Henristal. Bishop Gregory Toussaint and Pastor Caleb Barthélus were unable to attend.
Prophet Kenny confirmed that in the past, he had a romantic relationship, without revealing the identity of that person. He states that this relationship ended, saying, “a long time ago.” Kenny emphasized that his wife was not pregnant at the time of their marriage, contradicting the rumors.
Prophet Kenny refused to disclose how long he had been in a relationship with his wife Sherica Daniela Davilmar.
Responding to criticisms on social media, Kenny reminded, according to Matthew 13, that our duty is to preach the Word, not to condemn those who devalue the Gospel.
He also stated that it is God who justifies according to Romans 8:33. Kenny Dorvilus confirmed that he had a civil marriage on September 30, and on December 8, he had a religious marriage in complete intimacy.
