Behind the scenes of an extraordinary concert-event

On April 13, 2025, despite the rain, gospel saphir ministry celebrated the release of his first album during an exceptional concert, open -air in Delmas 75. Exclusively, Sébastien Dossous, president and manager of the choir, opens the doors of the behind the scenes and shares the secrets, the emotions and the challenges of this memorable evening.

“It is 16 years of struggle, but today, recognition and joy are dominating. »»
Behind the success of this concert, there are years of perseverance. Photographer in my early days, I saw the choir cross storms. We announced an album in 2014, but it only emerged this year. This concert is the culmination of a route strewn with pitfalls.

Q. What were your deep motivations to organize this event?

The idea of this concert was not born from a simple artistic desire, but of a deep conviction. Each note, each project is a response to a call: supporting the youth, supporting disadvantaged children through the “Ann Voye Timoun Lekol” project, and forms solidarity ties. Three pillars guide our commitment: perseverance in the face of adversity, faith in the mission of the choir and the strength of the collective.
“It was the collaboration and determination of the team that brought us. »»

Behind the curtain, it was a real hive. The choice of Delmas 75 has established itself to accommodate a large audience, even in the rain. From the start, the management committee took charge of logistics: coordination of volunteers, equipment management, planning artistic interventions, sound system, decor, and even a double scenic structure to protect the public.
The day before, each member knew his role, the technical driver was distributed, and a general rehearsal made it possible to anticipate the unforeseen events, the rain included.

Q. On D-Day, did the weather upset your plans?

The rain delayed the start of the concert, placing myself in front of a difficult choice: starting on time or getting children from the partner orphanage. I followed my heart and took 18 children in the car, despite the pressing calls from the choir.
“After hearing the testimony of Madame Thébaud, I knew that this delay was worth it. »»

Q. Tell us about the evening.

At 4:20 p.m., the concert finally started. On stage, the choir delivered an impeccable live performance, a first for us.
“Usually, the first performance is difficult, but this time we were up to the task from the start. »»
Ten songs from the album were interpreted, carried by a team of seasoned musicians and a sound system signed Powermix Sound.

The prestigious guests – Edwin fils, the elected officials, Wiliadel Denervil, Stanley Georges and the Prodigy dance troupe – followed one another, each bringing their energy. The second part, where the choir appeared in jeans for “Fos Louwanj”, marked the spirits by its freshness and its intensity.

Despite the rain, nearly 450 people were present, not to mention the staff and the volunteers. Communication, orchestrated via local media and social networks, mobilized far beyond our usual circle.
“The impact has exceeded our expectations. »»
Beyond the artistic aspect, 100% of the funds raised with the album are intended for the “Ann Voye Timoun Lekol” project. The sale-site could not take place because of insecurity, but the promotion will continue with an upcoming tour.

Q. Are there moments or testimonies that have particularly marked you?

Behind the scenes are also suspended moments. The testimony of Madame Thébaud, who came with the children of the orphanage, upset the public and recalled the social scope of the choir. The members of the protocol, led by Lowik Norgaisse, competed in creativity to protect the public from the rain, improvising solutions without ever disturbing the magic of the spectacle.

I remember the early evening dilemma, worried calls, the choice of solidarity. These are the moments, made of unforeseen and human decisions, which give the event its unique flavor.
“Faith in the team, confidence in the committee, the satisfaction of seeing the children present: this is what I remember. »»

Q. What lessons do you learn from this experience?

This experience has strengthened the group’s cohesion and confidence in the management committee.
“Sometimes the level of requirement seemed too high, but today everyone understands why. »»
The organization has proven its ability to manage unforeseen events, mobilize resources and transform each obstacle into opportunity.

The rest? A promotional tour, an increased presence in churches, and the imminent release of the clip “Fos Louwanj.
“Praise can do everything,” concludes Sébastien Dossous, inviting everyone to keep faith and gratitude.

Q. A final word for the team and the partners?

To conclude this interview, Sébastien Dossous, president of the management committee and manager of Gospel Saphir Minister, wishes to send these words:
“I wish to express my deep gratitude to each member of this formidable team, whose commitment, creativity and generosity have been essential to the success of this event.

Thank you to my wife for her unwavering support Wilhelmine Edouard (Skinayiti) for her faithful accompaniment. In Chevelin Pierre (Chevelin Illustration) for his artistic talent that sublimated our album, to Stanley Shegger Aris (Shegger Beats) for his expertise in mixing and mastering, to Peterson Luc for his inspiration and his musical leadership, to Ruth C. Everyone has truly brought a precious stone to the building; It is thanks to this teamwork, this passion and this dedication that we have been able to materialize this project and touch so many lives. Your involvement has made all the difference, and I am sincerely grateful to you. Faith can do everything, and it is together that we have proven the strength of this conviction. »»
