Emylina Alexis – Biography
Emylina Alexis was born on January 9, 1987 in Port au Prince in a large family, including five boys and three girls. She grew up in this Christian family including her father, Pastor Jean Wesner Alexis and her mother, Emy Casimir Alexis, a seamstress who died when she was only seven years old. This disappearance of a loved one has led to lack of affection, continued sadness and deep loneliness. This then, in these hard moments that she will begin to experience the glory of God in his life.
She will translate the solitude that inhabited her through words that will become: poems, novels, songs. These will no longer be social works, but also evangelical works, when later in December 1999 she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord, and when in 2005 she was baptized.
Emylina made her debut at the ICMG classical school, in the services which were held every Friday where she could lead the worship, bring the message, and sometimes participate in the welcoming service. A music student from preparatory classes to second grade, member of the college choir, she developed a passion for music which allowed her to be fulfilled, joyful and at peace.
We can count among these experiences: Maestro of the Mattanyahou Choir at the Church Tabernacle of the Full Gospel of Jesus Christ and Responsible for young people. Without forgetting her integration into the Choir Generation Choisie in 2008, and which she had to leave in 2011 to respond to the call that was given to her personally.
