Ellie Holcomb releases “Mine” Feat. Drew Holcomb

Ellie Holcomb is releasing a new song, “Mine,” from her upcoming album, Canyon, out June 25. Along with the poignant song about a parent’s love and reflecting God’s love for His children, a personal music video debuts today featuring Holcomb’s three kids and husband. It’s also the first song her husband, Drew Holcomb (of Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors) has recorded for one of his albums.

“I wrote this song with Hank Bentley and Mia Fields after a conversation with them about how God is always with us and how a parent’s heart reflects, even imperfectly, the Father’s heart,” explains Ellie Holcomb. “He’s been with us all the time before we even drew breath. God is the perfect father, and when I fail as a parent, it’s such a sweet reminder to me that God is still my father as I mother my children, and He is still their perfect heavenly father, holding them and caring for them so well, even when I parent imperfectly. This song is also special because my husband, Drew, joins me. He cries every time he hears this song, and it was the most natural thing to ask him to sing with me. His voice is incredible, and I hope it will forever be a treasure for our children to hear their mother and father sing this about them.”

Already released songs from the upcoming album include the title track, which already has over 1.7 million streams worldwide, and the radio single “I Don’t Want To Miss It,” which was his biggest add date of his career and already has 30 stations spinning the song with major markets including SiriusXM, St. Louis, Portland, Bakersfield, New Orleans, Greensboro and Chattanooga.

“Canyon is a record about the flow of LOVE that flows through our most painful places and reminds us that there are ever-present underground reservoirs/an ever-present river of love and peace that will carry us when we feel like we can’t go on,” Holcomb shares of the new album. “This record sounds free because I’ve encountered the freedom of being broken AND loved at the same time, and I hope these songs are an invitation to rest in the flow of love that always surrounds me. I’ve experienced deeper heartbreak AND greater hope, and I pray these songs remind us that we will never walk alone.”

With his next project, Canyon, Holcomb teamed up with an incredibly talented team of co-writers including Natalie Hemby, NEEDTOBREATHE’s Bear Rinehart and Thad Cockrell, and the project was produced by Cason Cooley with executive producer and his father, Brown Bannister.

Additionally, the Holcombs performed the national anthem for the Nashville Predators’ NHL playoff game last weekend and were featured in Tennessee. She also joins Live from the Ryman: Lauren Daigle and Friends streaming concert next week on June 6th as well as a few dates with Drew Holcomb & The Neighbours including their own famous festival, Moon River Music Festivalreturning in September.
