I put this song out nearly 3 years ago, and to this day it’s the most streamed song I have on a day-to-day basis. ❤️🔥
God really put His hand on this one, family.
This song was a part of my comeback album, Long Way Home. If you haven’t heard the album yet, please do! I know it will bless you. If I can be honest, this song wasn’t even my idea, it was my Pastor’s idea!
At the time, he was preaching a series called Back to the Basics and asked me to make a song for it. At first, I was hesitant and took quite some time to get to it. Quite frankly, I wasn’t a huge fan of the idea. But because I learned honor in the early stages of my walk, I wanted to help bring the man of God’s vision to life. So I sought the Lord for help on this song, put some of my own story into it, and almost 3 years later, the song is knocking on 5 million streams on Spotify alone. The amount of testimonies I have received from this song are countless.
You never know what awaits you on the other side of your submission, and who awaits you on the other side of your obedience. This song is the most impactful song I have ever made, but that wouldn’t have happened without my Pastor, obedience, and God putting His anointing on it. Big shout out to everyone who played a part in bringing this one to life!
