Djordji Innocent

Share

Born in Haiti, I always had an interest in music, but I picked up a microphone officially at the age of 11. I was baptized in September 2009 at the Assembly of God church in Pernier, led at the time by Pastor Leclerc Antoine (died in 2011).

It all started when Idalie Marcellus saw that I had a hidden talent during a youth program at my church, and she offered me her coaching help, because she was the first person who believed in my talent. Very shy at that time, I still accepted his offer and became his student for about 1 year. After the progress I made, she called me one day and said: Djordji, now that’s it! You can fly with your own wings. But despite everything, we continued to work together because she had become my best friend, my confidante.

I managed to develop my talent over time solo and within several choirs and groups in the field in Haiti such as: Children of the Lord, Pelai Gospel, Sweet Gospel, Gloria Gospel, etc. of which I was lead singer accompanied by other artists.

I had a lot of good memories in Haiti, we organized a lot of shows. The biggest memory I had was with Pelai Gospel at the National Palace.

I left Haiti in July 2010, and since then, I have lived in Canada, in Saint-Léonard in the province of Quebec. I persevere at Le Refuge Church (Pastor Daniel Chery), and I have been established since 2011 as a worship minister. In addition to church activities with the Worship group, I am part of the C2J group (Come to Jesus), one of the best compass groups in the world. . We did a lot of touring throughout the West Indies and in the provinces of Canada.

I was influenced by several artists including Jean Éphésiens Louis, Wilner Jean, William McDowell, Israel Houghton.

With Anestral Pierre (maestro of C2J), we have been working together on the creation of my personal album since September 2013. The album should have 11 songs. The album covers the following topics:

1. Thanks (Thanksgiving to the Lord for who he is and for what he does)
2. Worship and praise
3. Hope
4. Forgiveness

I continue to perfect my vocal technique with several coaches in Montreal: Raphel St-Phar, Coaches Star Académie à distance.

Those close to me say that music is my therapy. People who observe me every day say that she is my best friend, but for me, it is my way of approaching God a little more every day, of speaking to him, of touching him and of representing him to the whole world .

It’s not an easy environment, I’ve had a lot of obstacles and I continue to have them. But God is a faithful God, he keeps the promise he made to me and that is more important.
