DEG, AstHarmony and the Choir Jimla Gospel: Divine Voices At Rutshelle Guillaume’s Concert

Published on

The presence (of certain members) of evangelical choirs at the Rutshelle Guillaume concert divides opinion

Certain members of Chorale DEG, and the Choir surprised the public by participating in the concert of Haitian artist Rutshelle Guillaume, famous for her captivating stage performances. The event marked the artist’s 10-year career, held at the El Rancho Convention Center in Haiti. However, their presence was strongly criticized by the host and owner of Régi Média during the show Moman Kretyen on February 20, 2024.

It is important to emphasize that the participation of actors from the evangelical sector was not intended to proselytize. The DEG choirs, And were represented by some of their members, who offered their talent as backing vocalists during the interpretation of two pieces at the opening of Rutshelle Guillaume’s concert.

Let us also remember that most pastors are very suspicious of artists and musicians in the evangelical sector, moreover, the DEG choir has already been the subject of well-founded and severe criticism for its collaborations with actors from the secular world.

Evangelical actors demonstrated one thing because of the controversy their presence generated. Either they have a short memory and disregard history, or they give favoritism importance to what the Bible says.
