A young Psalmist with many talents.
Born to a musician father “Désire Jean Adrien” and a mother crazy about God “Ogé Cécile Lamercie”. Désiré Jean Roberson (DJR), the servant, was born in Croix-des-Bouquets (Turbé) in 1981, on July 15. From the age of 12, he worked in children’s ministry. He was an advisor to…many people. Around the 14th year of his life, he formed a trio “The comforter of the afflicted” helped by Milien Jean Joël’ and Étienne Amilca (White). They were hugely successful. Since then, he has continued to proclaim the power of Him who Was, Who Is, and Who Will Be the Head of all heads. Whether in a group, quartet, trio, duo or solo DJR spread the good news throughout the island of Haiti.
He was a much appreciated and popular collaborator of his musician friends. His way of recruiting his ability to combine different vocal ranges made him a must-have. Sometimes Maestro, sometimes musical director of groups and choirs such as: Air Céleste; The Comic Singers of God; kolaia; Azarias; Pelaia; Kebir Mass choir; Hope; El Shadaï; ABBA GOSPEL and so on… Everyone admired his work with them.
The STAR left Haiti for the United States but it is in Canada that it is established. Roberson does not change his way of conceiving the Christian life.
Any repented sin will be forgiven, but the price must be paid.
It is the refusal to pay the price of sin, a form of spiritual intelligence that pushes him to flee ahead and also his deep respect and fear for God that earned JDR the title of “STAR” (Working Servant). for the Advancement of the Kingdom)
JDR is
Soft like a lamb;
Effective as a remedy;
Easy as pie;
Important as a goose;
Fast as the wind.
And, we can say it, he leaves a positive mark thanks to the talents that God gave him wherever it is possible for him to do so. Residing today in Canada, the STAR continues to work for the advancement of the kingdom of God in several fields: sound technician, photographer or cameraman. He gives generously of his energy and his time in a passionate manner. Author-composer, Adorer-singer, these qualities led him once again to develop the album “LA PRIYÈ” as a Duo with Mr. Rivert Lotaire to help the latter realize his dream. His musical ambition pushed him to form a team with the aim of perfecting his work in order to devote himself to the writing and production of his future musical works. The STAR is determined to give the great commission its true meaning, which is “Mooving forward”.
JDR aka the STAR doesn’t sing for fans and it’s not popularity that appeals to him. He does this to spread the word and bring more and more people to the Lord.
