Cemé christ-là Nicolas aka Nicky Christ
(Nicky Christ)began his adventure with the art of sounds very early on.
After the death of his father in June 1995, he used music as a refuge to escape his sadness. A year later, he founded with friends the Schnatsar group of which he was, thanks to his determination and his leadership, the maestro from the age of 12 and which, 4 years later, took 2nd place in a competition which brought together the best artists, groups and choirs in the Adventist world.
In 2002, Maestro Nicky and his band participated in a major concert in Kingston Jamaica at the Jamaica youth for Christ at YMCA.
In 2004, together with Angel’s Family and Family choir, Schenatsar released his first Album “fe byen”. To note that Nicky Christ was the composer and the chief arranger of this project.
In 2005, Maestro Nicky and his group represented Haiti in the final phase of the 5th Francophonie game in Niger in Africa, and out of 53 French-speaking countries, Schenatsar from Haiti was selected among the 13 finalists selected by the jury.
After this experience in Africa, the group decided to use its talents differently, hence the presence of Nicky Christ on the music scene as an artist.
In December 2006, Nicky won 3rd prize in the 2nd edition of the competition organized by Soley Sounds System in the reggae category.
He participated in the production of Joël Lorquet’s album 1804-2004.
He also participated in certain projects with the Kreyolololo center. He participated in the design of the ALO HAITI GOSPEL project.
The artist Nicky has completed several tours in the United States which gave birth to his first solo album entitled “CONTROL” with 11 titles which differ from each other, which is due to be released at the end of August. 2009.
Nicky is the founder of Schenatsar Ecole de Musique which has already trained more than 200 young people in areas such as: vocal techniques, guitar, keyboard, versatility and artistic leadership.
Nicky studies psychology and management with Educatel. He is passionate about writing.
Nicky Christ participated as composerarranger, guitarist, produced the album “limanite an premye” by the Haitian Red Cross.
and in 2010, Nicky Christ participated as a guitarist and arranger in the production of the album “Tout lanmou sa” by Genesis for him.
