TAMI, whose real name is Christ-ami CEMÉ, was born on December 11, 1987 in Port-au-Prince. From the earliest age TAMI allowed himself to be captivated by the music, which explains why 5 years or in 1993 she joined “Les Filles de Lumières” of which she was one of the soloists.
That same year she represented her Church in the singing competition organized by MASH with a group formed for the occasion which received 3rd prize. It was his first step into the musical world. Already at this age she offered concerts with her group in various churches in the Haitian capital. In 2001 she became a member of “Family choir »This is where she was introduced to Gospel. Tami began her adventure with “Angels’ Family» in 2003 aged 15 with the song “Mwen pap lage”, a year later recorded on “Fè byen” a compilation of Schenatsar, Family choir and Angels family. In 2006 released “Adorasyon” from the album “Mèsi” still with Angels’ Family. Realizing her ability to perform solo, she decided to participate in the “Soley Sounds System” competition, in which she was crowned 3rd in the compass category.
The following year she released her first solo song on the compilation album evangelical “Alo Haiti Gospel” a Soley Sounds project. Tami has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists and participate in other projects, both social and evangelical. Among other things, we can identify it on certain songs of Gospel Kreyol of which she has been a member since 2009, on Welmyr Jean Pierre’s album “Mèsi”, “Control” by Nicky Christ. Without forgetting “Sariah” in French “Princess of God” a group of singers newly formed in December 2013.
TAMI also gives its contribution to students in vocal techniques of “SCHENATSAR SCHOOL OF MUSIC”. His first solo albumJou Map Konte» is expected for 2014.
