Platinum-selling Christian artist Chris Tomlin performed at the 54th CMA Awards last night with Reba McEntire and Thomas Rhett on Thomas’s Musical Event of the Year nominated song, “Be A Light.” This was Chris’ first CMA appearance. Earlier this week, Chris spoke with GMA.com about the upcoming performance and the meaning of this song.
“Performing at the CMA Awards this year was an honor and a moment I will never forget,” Chris said. “Sharing the stage with Thomas Rhett and Reba is a crazy dream come true. And then to share the message of ‘Be A Light’ together, in 2020, at this moment in time, is an honor and a God-given moment. I can’t imagine a more timely message and I hope the song continues to spread light and love throughout the world.”
On Saturday, November 21, Chris will once again collaborate at the Grand Ole Opry, performing with Lady A and Russell Dickerson, who are featured artists on his Chris Tomlin and Friends album released in August. Chris and Lady A will perform their four-week No. 1 hit, “Who You Are To Me.” The Opry airs on Circle TV, Gray Television Stations, DISH Studio Channel 102, Sling TV and other affiliated television stations as well as streaming partners Roku, Inc., Samsung TV Plus, VIZIO FREE Channels and XUMO, and can be heard on SiriusXM as well as the Opry’s flagship home 650 WSM AM and www.wsmonline.com.
