Today (March 10), seven-time GRAMMY Award winner Carrie Underwood releases “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus” from her upcoming hymn album My Savior. The new album will be released worldwide on CD and digital on March 26, 2021, and on vinyl on April 30. You can Pre-order the digital album now.
My Savior is co-produced and arranged by Underwood and GRAMMY Award winner David Garcia, with whom she co-produced her critically acclaimed 2018 album Cry Pretty, her seventh album to be certified Platinum or Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. Garcia is a four-time GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum record producer and songwriter. With early roots in Christian music, over the past decade he has achieved unprecedented success across multiple musical genres with over 20 No. 1 songs to his credit. He has been named ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter of the Year twice (2015 and 2019), written three ASCAP Christian Music Song of the Year winners, and is the winner of nine Dove Awards.
“This is an album I’ve always wanted to record. When I decided to choose these songs, I wanted to include the beautiful, familiar hymns I grew up singing in church,” says Underwood. “There are several songs I’ve performed in the past, like ‘Softly And Tenderly,’ ‘How Great Thou Art,’ and ‘Amazing Grace,’ that mean so much to me and I knew right away that we had to record for the album. This music has shaped who I am as a person and is the foundation of my career as a recording artist. I feel so fortunate to be able to share these songs with generations of people who love them as much as I do, as well as others who may be experiencing them for the first time.”
