Athey Music is a worship collective that grew out of Athey Creek Church, based in West Linn, near Portland, Oregon. Led by singer Joey Meador, the group collaborates with various musicians to create contemporary worship songs. For “I’m Alive,” Athey Music teams up with family trio CAIN, comprised of siblings Taylor Cain Matz, Madison Cain Johnson and Logan Cain. “I’m Alive” was written specifically for PDX Crusade 2025, an evangelical event that brought together 35,000 people at the Moda Center in Portland on August 2-3, 2025, generating 3,200 spiritual engagements. This energetic and inspiring song celebrates spiritual transformation and new life in Christ, inviting believers to dynamically bear witness to their faith. Released on August 22, 2025, “I’m Alive” is part of Athey Music’s upward trajectory in the local and national worship scene. The PDX Crusade represents the largest evangelical gathering in Portland in 25 years, positioning “I’m Alive” as the anthem of a spiritual revival movement in the Pacific Northwest.
