"Arise and Shine 2016", An unforgettable conference
“I already miss the 40 days of fasting and the 4 days of conference”, confided a user on the Facebook page of the Tabernacle of Glory a few days after the “Arise and Shine” conference which ended on the evening of Sunday July 31 at the Bank United Center. Appointment is already made for next summer for 40 days of praise, prayer, preaching, testimonies, miracles, glory.
Thousands of people flocked to the Bank United Center (1245 Dauer Dr, Coral Gables, FL 33146) at the close of the four-day "Arise and Shine" conference hosted by the Tabernacle of Glory led by pastor Gregory Toussaint. The 4 days of conference ended the 40 days of fasting launched on June 19 at the North Miami Senior High Gymnasium. The glory of God was manifested during this event from beginning to end.
“Mark June 18 to July 30 in your calendar, this is the date for our next 40 days of fasting next year,” Pasteur announced. Gregory Toussaint to the large crowd that had filled the Bank United Center, an 8000-capacity sports complex.

“One of the reasons God works miracles today is not only to help people in difficulty but also to prove that he exists and that he is not an idea or a philosophy,” explained the Pastor Toussaint.
2300 new souls
L’un des point marquants de l’événement « Arise and Shine » est le nombre de personnes ayant remis leur vie à Jesus-Christ. A la fin de l’activité, plus de 2300 personnes sont sorties des ténèbres pour entrer dans la merveilleuse lumière de l’Évangile. « Je veux voir l’enfer vide et le ciel rempli » a pour sa part déclaré le fameux évangéliste Reinhard Bonnke qui avait prêché dans la soirée du dimanche.
Adoration and praise
The last day of the conference was also marked by the adoration of the Haitian psalmist Delly Benson; he had blessed the people of God by his talent and above all by the divine anointing on his life. The public had been able to sing with him popular tunes like “Anyo Bondye a” appearing on his first album “You are Lord”. A great moment of adoration and praise.
Worship and praise were two pillars of the 40 day fast. They helped bring the glory of God. The worship service was notably provided by the Chœur d'Worship (Worship Team) of Tabernacle of Glory, Pastor Gregory Toussaint himself, but also the Psalmist Samuel Robuste who has the gift of animating the crowds and leading them into another dimension of adoration.
Multicultural Conference
The “Arise and Shine” event was also multicultural. Most of the activities were in Creole but simultaneous translations were available on the various event sites (4 languages) and on the Tabernacle of Glory (77 languages). Note the remarkable passage of Ingrid Rosario on Saturday July 30. The Hispanic-American evangelical artist presented an excellent performance that dazzled many. We were able to glorify God with Ingrid on popular tunes like “Que se llene tu casa”, “Te Bendeciré” (I will bless you Lord) etc.
"Louwe, louwe"
Le Pasteur et chanteur Donnie Mcclurkin avait brièvement entonné quelques airs de son répertoire lors de son passage le premier jour de la conférence, le jeudi 28 juillet. Le fameux chanteur avait notamment chanté en créole (« Louwe, louwe, gloire à Jesus »), ce qui avait grandement réjoui le cœur du public haïtien présent. « Mais c’est tout ce que je sais », avait avoué le chanteur afro-américain qui était surtout à la Bank United Center pour prêcher la Parole de Dieu, et il l’avait fait brillamment. Le pasteur Mcclurkin a prêché avec ferveur sur la passion du Christ. « Jesus ne pouvait pas mourir jusqu’à ce qu’il ait volontairement donné sa vie. Jesus est la vie. On ne peut pas enlever la vie à la vie. Jesus a accepté de donner sa vie pour sauver vous et moi « , a prêché le pasteur-chanteur.
The evil altars and Jezebel
Spiritual warfare was at the heart of the 40 day fast. Spiritual warfare prayers were recited every night after or before sermons. Pastor Yvan Castanou from France (Impact Center Christian) dealt with the subject of satanic altars and how these can speak against our destiny. He taught how to counteract these evil altars with the Word of God.
Pastor Gregory Toussaint had also taught on spiritual warfare by repeating the subject “Jezebel” which he had preached several years ago. On Saturday July 30, he notably showed how this mind keeps Haiti under its control and prevents this country from progressing. He also announced the reissue of the shocking book "Jézabel mis à nue" published for the first time in 2008. During the conference, Pastor Toussaint proceeded to the sale-signature of several of his new books, including "I Know Who I Am “, Dethrone the King of Terrors”, “ The faith unshakeable" etc.
The 40 days of fasting were notably broadcast on Island TV, shekinah Phone, Facebook Live, Radio shekinah, the network shekinah in Haiti, Radio Télé Lumière etc. which allowed millions of people to follow the event live.
