After 80 million streams of their viral hit, “Coming in hot,Fans have been eagerly awaiting a follow-up project with Andy Mineo and Lecrae. With momentum building, Mineo hit up producer, “Coming In Hot” producer Sak Pase for another banger.
The “Been About It” video features a recreation of the album art of the most iconic hip-hop albums ever released! “Been About It is a tribute to the music that raised me. A tribute to the culture and creators that paved the way for hip-hop to become a global phenomenon that I am a part of,” shares Andy! “We’ve lost so many iconic hip-hop artists over the last few years and unfortunately, we wait until people die to give them props! Lecrae and I recorded this song and a dope video to pay tribute to the artists that impacted hip-hop and inspired us!” His rhyming partner, Lecrae adds, “Andy and I are products of Hip Hop. These are some of the albums that shaped our childhoods. I especially loved doing the Tupac album cover. He was iconic.”
The first time the public saw the “Been About It” video was at the private Atlanta VIP listening session. The day before the album’s release, Lecrae and Andy drove around the Atlanta beltline, playing the Never Land II album for random people while capturing reactions to the original “Been About It” video! During a VIP meet and greet during his current Return To Never Land II tour, Andy privately showed clips of the video.
