André Muscadin candidate – the pastor aims for the presidency of Haiti 2026

Pastor André Muscadin is launching the race for the presidency of Haiti!

Port-au-Prince — Pastor André Muscadin, leader of the Shalom Tabernacle de Gloire church, officially announced his candidacy for the presidency of Haiti for the next elections scheduled for 2026. This declaration marks a turning point in the Haitian political landscape, as figures from the religious community now occupy an active place in the national debate.

Since his return to the country, Pastor Muscadin has been heavily involved in civil society actions. In particular, he participated in a peace march aimed at promoting social cohesion and encouraging dialogue between different communities. This commitment reinforces his image as a leader who is both spiritual and civic.

This gathering dynamic recalls the alliance sealed a few months ago between Pastor Muscadin and other influential figures in the Protestant sector. He had in fact associated himself with the self-proclaimed prophet Mackenson Dorilas (of the Lord of Hosts Church), Pastor Marco (Marcorel Zidor, of the Piscine Church of Bethesda) and Pastor Gérard Forges (of the Sur le Rocher de Tabarre Church). This group, nicknamed the “3M”, notably organized a peaceful march on January 3, 2026 to denounce insecurity, thus consolidating a significant base of popular and religious support behind their joint actions.

Muscadin says today he wants to bring a different perspective to the governance of the country, based on spiritual and ethical values, while meeting the population’s expectations of stability and development.

This announcement has already sparked numerous reactions within civil society and among political analysts: some welcome the pastor’s civic commitment, while others question the place of religion in the Haitian political sphere. While the presidential campaign promises to be intense, all eyes remain on the next statements from the leader of Shalom, who promises to shake up the national political landscape.
