The Life of Ada Ehi
Ada Ehi, whose full name is Ada Ogochukwu Ehi, was born into a large family. Her birth surname is Ndukauba, and she is the daughter of Victor and Mabel Ndukauba. Growing up alongside her three brothers, Ada developed a love for gospel music, often listening to various songs played by her parents.
At the age of 10, she joined the girl group led by Tosin Jegede as a backup singer, marking a significant breakthrough in her career. Ada later graduated from Lagos State University, where she studied Chemical and Polymer Engineering. While in school, she became a member of the Christian gospel group called Believers Love World on campus. Her journey as a gospel singer continued with the Christ Embassy Presidential Choir, providing her with a valuable platform to hone and showcase her skills.
Since joining the Christ Embassy Choir, Ada Ehi has actively participated in numerous musical events organized by the Christ Embassy Music Ministry. She frequently performs at concerts across Europe, various African nations, and America.
Her First Album
Ada Ehi released her first album, “Undenied,” in 2009. Following this, she launched her subsequent albums, “Lifted” and “So Fly,” in 2013. In October 2017, her third album, “Future Now,” achieved remarkable success, reaching the top position on iTunes Nigeria on the day of its release.
Today, Ada Ehi is a celebrated songwriter and internationally renowned gospel artist, enjoying immense popularity in Nigeria. Her professional journey began when she was just 10 years old as a backup singer for a gospel star, ultimately leading her to become a successful African artist. Before formally entering the gospel music scene in 2009 by signing with Loveworld Records, Ada married Hey Moses in 2008. They celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary in 2017, having first met in church—a meeting that Ada recalls as love at first sight. Today, they enjoy a happy life together, raising their two beautiful children.
