40 years of the Protestant Federation of Haiti: officials plead for a more united Protestant sector

The Protestant Federation of Haiti organized, this Monday, May 25, 2026, a press briefing at Ritz Kinam II to inform the population about the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the institution.

The panel was composed of Pastor Jonathan Joseph, vice-president of the Federation, Pastor Doucet Desronvil, advisor, as well as the head of protocol, Weguens Clergé.

During this meeting with the press, the speakers placed particular emphasis on the programming of activities planned for this Thursday, May 28, 2026, the date officially marking the celebrations.

According to the panelists, this anniversary revolves around three major historical and prophetic dimensions: the forty years of existence of the Protestant Federation of Haiti, the two hundred and ten years of presence and testimony of Protestantism in Haiti, as well as a vision of strengthening and strategic repositioning of the Protestant sector by 2027.

Speaking at the microphone of Semence Média, the vice-president of the Federation, Pastor Jonathan Joseph, expressed his wish to see the Protestant sector more united despite the numerous existing denominations.

“My wish is to see the Protestant sector united. It is a challenge for us to be able to build a single way of doing things and to strengthen unity within the Protestant sector,” he declared.

Those responsible for the institution also underlined their desire to make this celebration a moment of reflection, unity and projection for the future of Haitian Protestantism.
