Review of the 39th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards
The 39th edition of Stellar Gospel Music Awards will take place in Las Vegas at the Orleans Arena on Saturday, July 20. The event will be co-hosted by Emmy Award-winning television personality and comedian Loni Love, alongside Marconi Award-winning radio/television personality and comedian Rickey Smiley.
The night promises to be filled with incredible performances and prestigious awards for gospel artists. Already announced honorees include names such as Kim Burrell, who will receive the Aretha Franklin Icon Award, and Tye Tribbetthonored with the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award.
New artists have also been added to the list of participants, including Chandler Moore, Kierra Sheard, Anthony Brown and group therAPy, Da’ TRUTH, Israel Houghton, Karen Clark Sheard, Kelontae Gavin, Koryn Hawthorne, Lisa Knowles-Smith, Mali Music, Melvin Crispell III, Rich Tolbert Jr., Tasha Page-Lockhart, Ricky Dillard and Tamela Mann. Willie Moore Jr. was designated as the official blue carpet host, while Kirk Franklin, Erica Campbell and Angel Taylor will make special appearances.
Co-host Loni Love spoke enthusiastically about the event, saying, “I am so honored to co-host the Stellar Awards this year. It will be a pleasant and blessed time!”
